From Naples - Piazza Garibaldi use the company EAV - CIRCUMVESUVIANA towards Sorrento or Poggiomarino. In the territory of Herculaneum there are two stations. The ERCOLANO-SCAVI station is located right near the archaeological excavations , while the ERCOLANO-MIGLIO D'ORO station allows you to visit the villas arranged along the road axis. Average travel time about 20 minutes .
Also from Naples - Piazza Garibaldi is active in the period March-October the train Campania Express . The service, managed by EAV - CIRCUNVESUVIANA connects the Campania capital in just 50 minutes with ERCOLANO - POMPEI - SORRENTO.
The Site Archaeological is located at 700 m from the station of the Circumvesuviana of Ercolano-Scavi in direction of the sea. With the station behind you, proceed to the roundabout and continue downhill on Via IV Novembre at the end of which there is the monumental entrance Site.

To arrive by car take the highway A3 Napoli-Reggio Calabria and exit at Herculaneum. The distance from Naples is about 11 km. From the motorway exit follow the road signs for the archaeological excavations of Herculaneum and finally the signs for the site car park.
