Leopoldo Pignalosa began his business as a pizzaiolo in 1973 in Portici, learning the technique from the ancient Neapolitan tradition that still distinguishes the preparation of his pizza from dough to wood-fired cooking.
In 1990, moved by the same passion as his father, the young Giuseppe Pignalosa joined Leopoldo to expand the pizzeria business to a full catering service, opening a successful restaurant in the heart of San Giorgio a Cremano.
The dedication and passion lavished on customer satisfaction meant that within a little more than 10 years the restaurant was too small for Giuseppe's needs, who wanted to be able to give his customers the opportunity to celebrate their happy moments in a location that was up to the standards of the dishes he offered.
So in 2003, again together with his father's experience, he decided to open the Gardenia Restaurant and Pizzeria in a strategic location, 10 minutes from the major Vesuvian centers, immediately out of the city traffic in a scenic corner that guarantees the right atmosphere to enjoy together the moments of celebration under the banner of good food.
